Understanding Token Transfers
How ERC-20 and NFT transfers work on ICB, and how they appear differently from native ICBX sends.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
Native ICBX transfers move the chain’s base currency. Token transfers move assets defined by smart contracts — typically ERC-20 fungible tokens or ERC-721 / ERC-1155 NFTs. On ICBScan, token movements often appear as Transfer events on a transaction, and as history on token and address pages.
What to look for
- Token contract address and symbol/name
- From and to addresses
- Amount (fungible) or token ID (NFT)
- The parent transaction hash and status
Why a token balance can look “missing”
Scam tokens may airdrop worthless assets. Always confirm the contract address. Also check you are on ICB Network (chain ID 73115) in your wallet — balances on other chains will not appear the same way.
